This simple, but clever patio paver renovation is proof that one small change can make such a huge difference.
This was the original patio, which looked more like a wasted space than an actual patio.
The old patio was slowly cleared, one bucket full of dirt at a time.
The whole area now looks so much bigger thanks to the fresh coat of soil and with all the slabs removed.
Gravel was then added on top of the soil to create a water-draining base.
After some much needed smoothing out, the pavers were then finally added.
The placement of the paving tones helps make the space more interesting.
The stairs were even jacked up for flow and continuity.
Once everything was finished, sand was poured over the stones to help fill in the gaps and prevent them from shifting.
This before-and-after comparison certainly says a lot about how such a “simple makeover” has turned this small patio space into something epic.
